ADHD Coaching

Are you an adult with ADHD?

My clients with ADHD are some of the most remarkable people I know. They’re creative and they’re intelligent. They have lots of interests and lead full lives. Unfortunately they’re also often overcome by overwhelm, struggling to manage their time demands, their paperwork and their days. They know what they need to do, but they struggle with getting around to it and then with completing it.

Can you relate?

If you can, you might be a good candidate for ADHD coaching.

ADHD impacts different people in different ways. Through our coaching I can help you become more aware of how your ADHD is impacting you and help you create strategies and tools that can lead to a more productive and fulfilling life.

The ADHD Coaches Organization describes ADHD coaching as follows:

ADHD Coaches focus on working with clients on their personal goals and the pragmatic issues of achieving them while living with ADHD. It is a supportive, collaborative, goal-oriented process in which the coach and the client work together to identify the client’s goals and then develop the self-awareness, systems, and strategies necessary for the client to reach those personal goals and full potential. Because ADHD Coaching specifically addresses the needs of people affected by ADHD, it is a seamless blend of three distinct elements, Life Coaching, Skills Coaching and Education.

My ADHD coaching process is grounded in building awareness and then using that awareness to support you in moving forward.

We begin our coaching by focusing on expectations, both your expectations and mine. After getting clear about those expectations we’ll focus on three areas:

  1. Building awareness of your ADHD and how it shows up and impacts you
  2. Building awareness of your strengths
  3. Building awareness of tools and practices to support you in creating the change you’re seeking

Even though my approach is fairy straight-forward, it is not formulaic and sessions are always tailored to each client’s specific needs. Most simply said: My approach to coaching is not one-size-fits-all.

ADHD is a brain-based disorder.

The way your brain works is not your choice.

However, the way you choose to respond to the way your brain works is.

That said, what choice will you make with respect to your ADHD and overcoming your overwhelm?

Please note, I work with some coaching clients over the phone, but I’ve found my most successful clients work with me via FaceTime or Zoom sessions.
