About

Have you considered what your life might be like if you could overcome your overwhelm?

What would happen to your stress level?

What would happen to your productivity level?

Most importantly, how might your view of yourself change?

Who I Partner with ~

I partner with people who:

  • are creative, intelligent and overwhelmed
  • have tried to overcome their overwhelm on their own, but haven’t been successful
  • are open to learning about their strengths and how to capitalize on those strengths
  • are willing to partner and are ready to take action

I partner with adults with ADHD, individuals seeking a more intentional life, and people interested in pursuing SlowMinimalism as a lifestyle.

How I Partner with My Clients ~

We’ll start the process of overcoming overwhelm by better understanding what’s going on in your life.  We’ll next gain clarity around where you’re hoping to get to and how you’re hoping to have changed when you get there.

We’ll take time to learn about your strengths, because I’ve learned over the years how much easier it is to overcome overwhelm when we’re using our strengths, as opposed to trying to shore up our weaknesses.

We’ll also check in around what you’re doing to take care of yourself, because neuroscience is teaching us sleep, mental fitness and movement have an impact on how well both you and your brain function.

With this information in hand, we’ll focus our partnership on supporting you in becoming that less overwhelmed version of yourself you’ve imagined, but may have given up on.

Along the way we’ll create a customized owner’s manual to support you during your transition and after our coaching is complete.

Why Partner with Me? ~

It’s the job of a professional coach to help you better understand who you are, what the right answers are for you at this point in your life and then support you in moving towards those answers.

A professional coach doesn’t need to have experienced every challenge you are experiencing in order to best support you.  This is because it’s not the coach’s job to give you advice.  Giving advice is the realm of consultants, who make their money telling you what they think is best for you.

Though in our coaching I will never tell you what I think is best for you, over the years I’ve come to believe a professional coach who is coaching in a particular topical area such as ADHD, intentional living, or SlowMinimalism can be more supportive in helping you create and navigate a path if they’ve trained in that area or have traveled a similar path themselves.

My extensive coach training, my professional background as a CPA (now inactive) and a professional organizer, and myriad life experiences including living life as an adult with ADHD, uniquely equip me to work with people like you who are interested in ADHD coaching, creating more intentional life or pursuing SlowMinimalism as a lifestyle.   In case you’re curious, these are some of those experiences:

  • being overwhelmed by too many commitments,
  • being overwhelmed by too much stuff,
  • working as a CPA for an international accounting firm,
  • creating a successful professional organizing business,
  • balancing an active, often chaotic, household with a professional life,
  • minimizing our household by 60%,
  • creating a simpler and more sustainable lifestyle, and
  • volunteering in the areas of sustainability and climate activism.

My home and life get overwhelming and out of control at times, just like yours.  I am able to bring things back to order readily though because of techniques I’ve learned, systems I’ve put in place, and most importantly knowledge I’ve gained over the years about myself and how I best function in the world.  Through our work together I’m confident the same outcome is possible for you.  Please click here to learn more about my services.

Background, Training, Credentials, etc. ~

Prior to my current career I was a CPA and Audit Manager for the international accounting firm, KPMG.  At KPMG I trained as a national instructor and in addition to working with my audit clients, taught continuing education courses to staff accountants.  Looking back on my time at KPMG I realize that what I enjoyed most about my position was organizing/managing my engagements and teaching others.

I was on the corporate fast track until we had twins and I shifted to the mommy track.  After raising my children, a friend encouraged me to explore a career in professional organizing.  It seemed like a good fit and I started S.O.S.~Sharb Organizing Solutions, LLC in 2006.   I transitioned from professional organizing to full time professional coaching in 2016.  Since 2006 I’ve amassed hundreds of hours of education in areas of service beneficial to my clients: organizing, real estate staging, chronic disorganization, hoarding, life coaching, somatic coaching, ADHD coaching, mindfulness training, strengths-based coaching and mental fitness coaching.

I’m a graduate of the Coach Approach for Organizers® program where I trained with Master Certified Coach Denslow Brown and Cameron Gott, PCC. Through this program I received general life and ADHD coach specific training.  In addition I trained with Doug Silsbee, PCC, in Presence Based Coaching and Shirzad Chamine in the area of Positive Intelligence.   I currently serve as a trainer for the Coach Approach for Organizers program.

My current credentials include:  Professional Certified Coach® (PCC®) and Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®).

  • I earned a previous accreditation as a Certified Organizer Coach® (COC®) through the Institute for Applied Coaching in 2009.  I also previously earned my International Coach Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach® (ACC®) coaching credential in 2012 and my current ICF credential of PCC in 2018.  In earning these coaching credentials I accumulated over 900 hours of coaching experience and over 200 hours of coach specific training and supervision.
  • I earned my CPO designation in 2010 after reaching a required number of client service and education hours and passing a monitored exam.

When I’m not working with clients you’ll find me gardening, sneaking kale into whatever I cook, catching up with my kids, going on long walks with my husband and stopping often (he would say too often) to take pictures.   I’m passionate about our environment and overcoming our world’s plastic pollution plight.  In 2020 I trained as a Climate Reality Leader and help others better understand the nature of our climate crisis and more importantly what each of us can do to make a difference.
